Hello friend,

I’m a Linux enthusiast, privacy and open source advocate. Unlike most people who often have Windows as their first computer’s operating system, I got my first PC when I was 6, and it was fired up with Slackware! Since then, I had a great interest in GNU/Linux. After a long time of distro-hopping, I now settle with Arch Linux.

The existence of this site

A portfolio is a reflection of your professional journey and growth. It serves as a platform to showcase your skills, experiences, and achievements. However, a portfolio is not just a collection of documents and certificates; it is a representation of your passion, dedication, and hard work.

Creating a portfolio is not just about presenting what you know, but also acknowledging what you don’t. It is an opportunity to identify your weaknesses and areas for improvement, and to reflect on your learning journey.

As you update your portfolio with new projects, skills, and experiences, you’ll realize that the more you learn, the more you realize how much you don’t know. But this realization is not a cause for frustration or despair, but rather an exciting opportunity to explore and grow.

Remember, a portfolio is not just a showcase of your accomplishments, but also a record of your growth and development. It is a testament to your willingness to learn and your dedication to your craft.

Behind the name

“Ash” as in “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust” - 尘归尘,土归土.

I know some of you may find this quote in the bible (“Remember You are Dust and to Dust You Shall Return”), which is a coincidence. This term is really common in other cultures including mine.

“Pex” as in “Apex” (a·pex /ˈāpeks/): the top or highest part of something / reach a high point or climax.

You only live once, so live your life to the fullest.
